Just been to the hustings although it was a small gathering all the candidates turned up. Especially liked the lib Dem idea of looking at introducing Youth workers and council enforcement officers to provide a more holistic approach to crime by working within the safer neighbourhood teams, and that the safer neighbourhood team should move into the princes ward. The idea of consulting local groups on the Lillian Baiylas site and its governance was another good idea, especially as no one seems to really know what's going on with the site. loved the suggestion of scrapping lamebth life to save money. Green candidate was very good too in looking at practical solutions to support our youth. not sure that labour or Tory guys really understood the issues relating to our youth. English democrate(enough said!!)

I've been a floating voter and I'll vote Labour in the Euro Elections.

But John Roberts is going to get my vote in the by-election. He was passionate and knowledgeable.

Sadly the Labour guy just wasn't up to the job - he was just trying to blame everyone else for things and had nothing new to say. Maybe in a few years when he's had a bit more experience he'll be a better choice.

But for now - and for the first time - I'll give the Lib Dems a try.

Thanks to those who set up the hustings - a real eye-opener and an antidote to all the Expenses stuff from the MPs!
